Cross-border E-commerce Charter Flight Connects Henan, Malaysia
A cross-border e-commerce cargo flight linking the city of Zhengzhou in central China's Henan Province to Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia was launched on August 27. With a cargo capacity of 25 tonnes, the chartered flight is operated by a Boeing 757-80F aircraft. Three round trips are scheduled every week, according to the Henan Airport Group.
The flight will carry China's exports to Malaysia, mostly cargo ordered through cross-border e-commerce platforms. The imports sent back to China from Malaysia will mainly be fruits and seafood.

All the cargo on the first outbound flight from China was cross-border e-commerce commodities, while the inbound flight carried the Cat Mountain King durian grown in Southeast Asia. In the future the flight plans to carry lobsters, mangosteen and bananas from Southeast Asia to China.
The flight linking Zhengzhou and Kuala Lumpur has become the first cargo flight between central China and Southeast Asia, connecting Zhengzhou and its surrounding areas with Southeast Asian countries.
New era entrusts new Mission to Henan. Henan, a big inland province, has been leading the way in opening-up to promote the development of high-quality economy. Nowadays, more and more global high-end products, food, clothing, daily supplies, are imported from the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone. Zhengzhou Airport, regarded as the main force of the Aerial Silk Road’s construction, takes Zhengzhou as the center to gradually expand the international air cargo network of “connecting three continents with one point; linking Europe and America with one line”.
Henan province, with the disadvantage in geographical location, has been short of fast export channels for a long time. Since the approval of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone construction, Henan has enjoyed similar development advantages with the coastal and border areas. The opening-up and development of Henan province has not only changed the international logistics pattern, but also expanded a greater space for its high-quality development.
